About Me

Hello everyone, my name is Kayla (insert wave here)! I am from wild and wonderful state of West “by God” Virginia! I love, love, love West Virginia. It’s just so peaceful and serene and I cannot imagine living anywhere else.

I hold a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Business Administration from Shepherd University. I also hold a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) and Masters of Arts (MA) in Management degree from American Public University. Ok, now that that’s out of the way, let’s get down to why you’re really here….to learn more about me!

I absolutely adore God. Sometimes I feel as though I am undeserving of His love. Even when I didn’t obey, He still carried me through. However, I have to ALWAYS remind myself of Psalm 139:13-16. All the stages of my life were spread out before God BEFORE I was even born.  For this, I am forever grateful of God’s love and understanding.

I am married to my heartbeat, which happens to be my high school sweetheart, Travis. He inspires, encourages, and motivates me to become the best version of me there is… and I cannot thank God enough for my Travis. We’ve gone through a great deal of trials and tribulations but without tests, there can be no testimony, right? Together, we have two little boys – Hendrix and Jovi. They are 16 months apart and raising them has been such an adventure. I cannot imagine life without my sweet boys. They bring so much joy to my life and I am not sure how I ever lived life before them. Totally cliché, but so very true!

I love people. I love hearing their stories and where they came from. I believe that you cannot truly understand the depth of a person’s character until you find out their history and how they got to where they are today. I can sit and talk for hours with someone about their family history, their favorite food, color, song, what they like to do in their spare time, etc.

I am excited to go through this journey with all of you. I want to be as transparent as possible because the truth is, we are all going through life. Being a wife is hard, being a momma is hard, being a friend is hard – life is hard. Let’s encourage, support, uplift, and love each other because at the end of the day, that is what life is all about!
